I have a 2001 BMW 525 and I am having an issue with my radio the cd player and am works but fm is silent?

The am and cd player works fine but the fm does not work at all it is dead silent I asked the dealership if they had any idea they just told me that I would have to pay so they can look at it, but I'm wondering if this has happened to anyone else. I don't

Sounds like your antenna or radio is defective. That could be fixed with a new antenna unless the problem is in the radio. A new radio from Circuit City or Best Buy could be considerably less that what the dealer will charge you plus with the new stereo
