what do i go by when getting replacemnt part for my car.i hv a 81 buick regal but a chevy 350 engine.?

Do i go by the make and model of the car or make and model of the engine or it doesnt matter cause they go hand and hand, but i think my engine is rebuild from a 85 chevy caprice.So does that matter

Yes it matters. like the dimwit that answered first it does matter what you want. to be specific if it is a part for the motor look for the caprice if it is a part for something that is not bolted to the block look for the buick. I have a 82 k5 blazer
