Which would be the best room to mount a central heating thermostat?

I'm just upgrading my heating system with a replacement boiler and TRV's. At present, the thermostat is sited in the main living room where I spend most evenings and some daytime. The new thermostat will be wireless, and linked to a full digital programmer

They tend to work best in hallway,in open area,not above rad,on inside wall.
If you fit it in a living room then this will get warm as your in there watching tv etc increasing the general temp in that room which will shut off stat & keeping
