1998 dodge neon fuel filter?

I have a 1998 Dodge Neon. It has 105,000 miles on it and i was wanting to replace the fuel filter. I have called around to different auto parts stores and they don't seem to have it. I made one last call and they said that the fuel filter was part of

its in the tank with the pump assembly on that one so unless its acting up or giving problems it probably doesn't need to be replaced,you can buy the filter separately,but it doesn't make much sense to do one and not the other,and honestly if its running
