Atwood rv Hot water heater model GC6AA8. Water coming out of relief valve?

I have water coming out of relief valve after unit is on for a short time. If I run just the electric it does it and if I run just the gas it does it. The water is hot so I think it might be a thermostat. Is there a separate thermostat for the gas

the valve could be worn out. When the water gets hot the tank pressurizes somewhat, the valve is a safety device to prevent too much pressure form building up Replace it there like $15 and really easy to change.
