How to modify air box for k&n filter on atv?

Hey, a while back i bought a k&n filter for my yamaha warrior 350. in the intstructions it said something on putting holes in the air box to get the full performance out of the air filter, i lost those papers and now i want to put the holes in the

If you put holes in the air box you will probably have to richen up the carb,( change jets ). If you do put holes you will just want to do it in the lid of the air box abot a quarter inch. Or if you go to a shop they sell 1 inch round inserts that you
