How do you replace the safety switch under the seat of a John Deere lawn tractor?

I just looked at my 2006 JDeere LT190 and it appears that they do not want you too, they want too sell you another seat...I suggest you call a dealer and ask for a replacement switch and if they have one then you must be able and if not they will tell
