What's the difference between a Pontiac Starchief and a Chieftain?

The Chieftain was one of the new postwar models. It came out in ’49 on the A-body platform as its own line above the Streamliner. The Streamliner was dropped for ’52, and all Pontiacs were Chieftains or Chieftain Catalinas until ‘54
