how to make a prosthetic hand activated by rope, wire, or string?

It must be controlled by a string wire, etc. and needs to be able to pick up a coke can. i am thinking of using a rubber glove for part of it. maybe a pulley as the joint,etc. Please help!

There are a looooot of stylistic choices in there, and it also depends on how handy you are, what tools and supplies you have, etc.
Also, it depends on how much of the hand/arm is amputated. (If it's meant to be a real prosthetic.. or is it some
