Should I even bother putting a trailer hitch on my Ford Focus?

I have a 2006 Ford Focus ZX4 sedan with the 2.0 L I-4. The maximum weight of cargo (internal load, trailer, and trailer load) is 837 lbs. That doesn't sound like enough capacity to even bother with a trailer hitch. Do you agree?

The hitch would weigh about 50 pounds. Figure the driver is 150 pounds, that gives you 637 pounds for other cargo. Now how much will a trailer weigh? If you are lucky, 150 pounds, so you got 487 pounds of cargo left. I agree, why bother?
