How can I properly time a VW 1600cc air-cooled engine w/ a Weber Progressive Carb and get it to start up?
I have installed a brand new 1600cc VW engine in a 1968 Bug. I'm using a Weber Progressive Carb. Fuel is flowing into the engine. I got new spark plugs. I just can't get the timing right to fire-up the engine. Can any one give me some insight to this
did you put in the distributor or was it already installed? on the 1600 the distributor can be installed 180 degrees off. you might try removing the dist. turnint it 180 and try to start again, or haul it over to where you bought the engine and have
