How do I take the truck window deflectors off safely?

How do I take the truck window deflectors off without ruining my paint job? They are window gaurds for smokers or something? I really want to take them off but don't want to mess up my truck. Please help.

i just took some off my truck and they where put on it 99. just pull them off they will break. the glue is what sucks to get off but it will come off with some elbow grease and bug and tar remover.
